I am a proud graduate from Louisiana State University where I completed a Bachelors of Science in Economics - International Trade & Finance with a minor in Spanish. I just finished a M.S. in Analytics - Information Systems & Decision Sciences at LSU. During my undergraduate years at LSU, I had the honor of marching with the Tiger Band as a trumpet player, and I have a National Championship ring to show for it! My passions include data science, data analytics, programming in Python, learning new languages, economics, baseball, and music. My Resumé

Work Experience

Graduate Assistant - Louisiana State University

July 2022 - May 2023

I was a Graduate Assistant at LSU, specifically, the Center for Analytics & Research in Transportation Safety (CARTS). CARTS is "responsible for collecting, maintaining, integrating, analyzing, and distributing crash-related data captured from law enforcement and other agencies throughout the State of Louisiana. CARTS utilizes this data to develop business intelligence (BI), GIS tools, perform research studies, and produce an annual fact book. These tools and publications are used by decision makers to identify potential problem areas, create counter measures, set policies, and establish programs to improve the safety of our roadways in Louisiana."
I am proud to have been a part of the Analytics team where I used SQL, Python, and Tableau to conduct data analysis. My largest project involved Data Integration, where I developed two Python desktop applications to automatically match records from the CARTS database to data from the Louisiana State Police and Emergency Medical Services.

Beer Guide - Abita Brewing Co.

May 2021 - May 2022

I ensured top-quality service was delivered to patrons by informing guests of the available craft-beverages and helping them find a beer that best suits their tastes and preferences. My main roles included being a tour-guide of the Abita Brewery, a bartender in the taproom on-site. Additionally, I was responsible for conducting merchandise sales. All these roles required high levels of communication skills in both English and Spanish. I also regularly ensured the safety of the customers by practicing safe service of alcohol and checking for signs of over-intoxication.

The project entailed the creation of a Tableau dashboards that were to monitor deposit trends with the goal of enhancing the bank's decision-making capabilities. With a team of six colleagues, we designed a data pipeline design, the Tableau tool, and documentation on how to use the application for future periods. The Tableau application contained a series of visualizations that helped the bank executives clearly identify trends or any areas of improvement among the 36 branches. Lastly, we presented the findings to the bank's executive committee, effectively conveying key insights and data driven strategic recommendations
